Customer Service/Order Processing Representative

Company Description:
Financial Navigator, Inc., a hi-tech software company, produces financial software and services for individuals and financial professionals. Founded in 1983, we have weathered the ups and downs of the “dot-coms” by staying focused on our market. The ability to see the future of technology and ways to incorporate it into our software has kept Financial Navigator Int’l as a leader in the financial management and professional accounting software industry.

Career Path:
Your initial title will be Customer Service/Order Processing Representative. This is a part time or full time position for an individual with the ability to handle order entry processing, shipping, and general telephone duties.
After you have learned how the company and our software works and demonstrated proficiency at order processing, you can “graduate” to a full time position that suits your interests and our needs. Some of the currently available positions are:

  • Financial Analyst
  • Staff Accountant
  • Technical Support Specialist
  • Sales Associate for established customers
Why you should apply:
This is an ideal position for anyone who wants to:
  • Improve their high-tech skill sets; learn to work with CRM, AR/AP, MS Office, and Financial Management/Accounting software.
  • Develop interpersonal skills through interaction with co-workers and clients.
  • Take advantage of flexible hours that can fit their schedule.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment that will challenge their problem solving skills.
  • Use their ideas and thoughts to shape the company’s future, from price changes to global marketing.
  • Become part of a team where everyone contributes to creating better software and services for our users.
If you want to be a team contributor, rather than just another worker, Financial Navigator is the place for you!

Where this position will take you:
While this is an entry-level position, it is not a dead end job. Instead of being a “punch the clock” worker, Financial Navigator wants to provide you with exciting ways to launch your career. By starting at this entry-level position you will learn a little about a lot, giving you a little experience in various fields. Instead of having a manager tell you where and what you will be doing, both of you will work together to find the best position for you based on what you like and what you are good at. This means that when you are ready to focus more on a single job you will be able to choose from marketing, database management, website programming, or national sales.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will also have previous work experience in a professional environment, knowledge of MS Office, an interest in finance and accounting, and a desire to grow with the company.
The right person must be a self-starter who can multi-task, communicate effectively and is eager to learn more about the software industry. Experience in accounting and/or database management is a plus.
High School diploma (or equivalent) is required, two years of college and one course in accounting preferred.

Hours:
If you are taking classes, you can work part time, with the hours to be determined, approx 15-20 hours, 3-4 days a week (M-F). This position can also be full time, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday-Friday.
