Senior Financial Consultant

Financial Navigator Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill our Senior Financial Consultant.  We develop and support financial software solutions for managing accounting and investment asset information for our clients.  You will be nurturing business relationships and communicating with CPAs, Investment Managers, CFOs, financial advisors and others from the financial services arena.

You will have extensive experience in tax accounting, as well as familiarity with portfolio, partnership, fiduciary, and foundation accounting.  You will have a great understanding of legal entities such as S-Corp, C-Corp, LLC, FLP. LLP, Foundations, individuals, and other entities created as investment vehicles.

You will have passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination, and kept current with your CPE credits each year.  You are active in the AICPA and attend training classes, and online presentations to stay abreast of your industry.

As a member of the Accounting/OneView team you will be responsible for:

  • Consulting with CPAs and other financial professionals on the use of our technology solution
  • Helping the Sales team in moving leads through the sales process
  • Developing and creating white papers on complex accounting issues
  • Attending conferences and tradeshows
  • Managing client engagements either remotely or on-site
To be successful, you will likely have:
  • 7 to 15 years of accounting experience
  • Experience learning new products and markets
  • Ability to work in a start-up/small company environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with other financial professionals
  • Consulting experience with clients
  • Experience with nurturing client relationships
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
You will possess experience in these service areas:
  • Financial Accounting
  • Management Consulting
  • Information Technology, especially with Accounting Information Systems
  • Financial Planning
  • Financial Analysis
  • Investment management
  • Venture Capital/Private Equity
  • Tax Preparation and Planning
  • Estate Planning
  • Income Tax
Desired but not required:
  • CFA, CFP, designation
  • Family office/multi-family office experience

You will have proficiency and have used some or a combination of the following financial management systems: Quickbooks, Quicken, Total Return, Quicken, MAS 90, Great Plains, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, Go Systems by RIA and other financial applications used for the management, tracking and reporting of assets, in particular investments.
