Alberto Furger, MBA

Alberto is the CFO of an asset management firm focusing on private equity investments in emerging and frontier markets. He previously held various similar roles in the asset management and family offices space. In addition, Alberto has been engaged as an independent financial advisor with a focus on corporate structuring and deal intermediation. After an apprenticeship at UBS, Alberto started his career in private banking and asset management and has been trained by a Big Four audit firm.

Alberto holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, is Swiss national, fluent in English and German, and currently resides with his wife and children in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Stijn Janssen, MS

Stijn Janssen is a Partner with Ernst & Young where he specializes in international tax, business structures and related issues. From his office in Dubai, he works with clients in the Middle East and Europe. Previously, Stijn was a local partner with the international law firm, Loyens & Loeff, serving as an international tax advisor and managing their branch in the DIFC. His background is serving (U)HNWIs, family offices, corporations and investment funds in the areas of taxation, succession planning, and international business structuring.

He also serves as the Secretary General for the GCC branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Planners (STEP), the International Bar Association and the Dutch Association of Tax Professionals (NOB). Stijn holds a master's degree in tax economics from Universiteit van Amsterdam. He is fluent in English and Dutch.

Jim Leggate

Jim Leggate is Managing Director of the Middle East region for Russell Investments. Based in Dubai, Jim is responsible for all business development and relationships with regional clients. Jim joined Russell in July 2011 as the company embarked on an expansion plan across the GCC. Prior to Russell, Jim worked for Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI Inc.) from 2000 across Europe, Africa and the Middle East and with Bloomberg for three years in both sales and trading. He started his career with WI Carr as an analyst.

Jim has over 23 years of experience in financial markets across a number of disciplines including Indexes, Risk Management, Private Banking, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Fund, Investment Consulting and Asset Management.

Jeff Singer

Jeff Singer is a general manager with strong sales skills and exceptional talent for startups and turnarounds; he possess deep expertise in in financial services and enterprise software. As CEO of DIFC Authority, he broke growth records and solidified DIFC as the #1 finance destination for financial services companies in the MEASA region. As CEO of NASDAQ Dubai, he reversed an underperforming business and orchestrated a complex merger between NASDAQ Dubai and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM). He was previously Senior Vice President and Head of International at NASDAQ in New York, responsible for NASDAQ's global business development. Mr Singer joined NASDAQ from 4R Systems where he was President and CEO.

Jeff has an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a BS in International Finance from Brigham Young University and is a certified SAP forecasting and production-planning consultant.
