Over time, as their operations or internal staffing change, clients sometimes need advice on the optimal way to set up specialized entities, record complex transactions, or capture and highlight key management data, etc. Other times, they may want advanced, or even just refresher, training on how to best use the functionality in our system. Whatever their requirements, FNI is dedicated to supporting our clients’ success.

When our customers ask for help, given the diversity of their operations, the right solution can be very client-specific. As a result, we often need experienced, high-level accounting experts with an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of FNI’s system to provide these clients with the needed guidance. To bolster our efforts in this area, we are currently looking to increase the roster of outside consultants that we can call on for such assignments.

If you possess a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, have good people skills, enjoy finding creative solutions to problems and are an effective communicator, then we would like to hear from you. Of course, prior experience with Financial Navigator products is required. Staff Accountant

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to fill our Staff Accountant position. We develop and support financial software solutions for managing accounting and investment asset information for our clients. You will work with the Accounting Team to implement and manage assigned client engagements. These assignments will require you to assist our clients in the day-to-day use of our general ledger accounting software.

Overview

  • Training clients to use our general ledger accounting software.
  • Recording transactional data on an on-going timely basis.
  • Reconciling brokerage statements within a given portfolio period.
  • Providing clients with solutions to accounting problems in Navigator accounting software.
  • Communicating with a variety of financial professionals: CPAs, Investment Managers, CFOs, Financial Advisors, and other financial professionals.
  • Assisting corporate accounting with: check writing, bill payments, account reconciliation, and report generation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of Portfolio Accounting.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Ability to work in a start-up/small company environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team and manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently.

Familiarity with the following is a big plus:

  • Financial software in a corporate environment.
  • Microsoft Windows 10 / 8 / 7.

Technical Support Associate

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to become a Technical Support Associate.  We develop and support financial software solutions that manage accounting and investment portfolio information for our clients.  You will work with the Technical Support Team and our customers to investigate, troubleshoot and answer questions regarding our software.

Job Description

As a member of the Technical Support Team you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting client issues related to our software, including software bugs, user errors or hardware conflicts.
  • Communicating with clients using email, phone and GoToMeeting®.
  • Using problem-solving skills to understand issues and discover the source of any errors.
  • Collaborating with the Accounting Team to assist users in developing proper procedures with FNI software products.
  • Submitting bug reports to the Development Team for problems that can be recreated and substantiated.
  • Coordinating with clients to deploy new software versions and answer billing questions.
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware and systems software.

Qualifications

To be successful, you will likely have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, AIS, MIS, or related technical experience
  • Experience with financial software in a corporate environment
  • Working knowledge of basic SQL queries
  • Ability to work in a small company environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team and manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently

Familiarity with the following is a big plus:

  • Windows 2008 / 2012 Server and/or Windows 10 / 8 / 7
  • Microsoft Exchange
