  • Understand the definition of a private equity investment.
  • Learn about information that a private equity fund provides its investor and what you need to track.
  • Understand what transaction types should be recorded in your portfolio accounting solution so you can report on and understand the investment.
  • See several examples of reports that you can create and utilize to present the private equity information to your client.
  • Understand and differentiate between the various income accounts that are used in private equity accounting
  • Hear available approaches to use in tracking private equity investments and how you can capture the pertinent information in your general ledger.
  • Learn about the detail components of income and what information you can record off of the K-1, or Form 1065

  • Understand Form 1009 Reporting
