When I go to print checks some times the check name and address is blank but the amount is there. If I go ahead and print the check is OK. But my main problem is on the check register and on the print screen the name and address are correct but when I print if the name is shorter than the address, the end of the name will appear at the end of the address line.Example:
Send International
P.O.Box 513ational

Hello Micki, thank you for posting your question.

Just to clarify, this always occurs when your payee name is longer than the address in your first street address line?

Which check form are you using? Have you made any custom changes to the settings of this check form?

I haven’t been able to reproduce this problem with the above example yet. Let me know what you find out. Thanks.

Specifically verify the position of the Payee Name and the Address-1st line on the check.
With the check on the screen ready to print, Select Change Settings. Verify the row for the Payee name and the Address-1st line are the same, since the 1st line of the address section is the payee name.

Please let us know if this does or does not solve your problem.

Thanks for you reply. I am a little afraid to change my vendor name line to the first address line. Will that mean I will have to change all my vendors set up cards and put the address on the address 2 line?
Thanks Micki

Thanks for your reply George. The check form we use is the Laser Multi-Purpose Check 8 1/2 X 11. Deluxe Business Checks product # 81004. I will check with our other worker to see if when see set up the checks if she made any custom changes. I will write again soon.
Thanks, Micki

George and John,
Thank you my problem is solved. My Payee line and Address 1st line were one off. When I changed them to be the same I no longer get the double printing problem.
Thanks again for your help.
