We've used FN to print checks for the three years I've been in our office with no problem until this week. We're still running 8.1. Entered one check to print and it printed at about a .2 font, same with second try. The boss printed the same check entry from his computer to his printer (not unusual) and it printed fine. Later, he entered another check to print from his computer to his printer and it printed in the .2 size. After 3 tries, it printed normal size. Printers have not changed, computers have not changed. Same problem exists for two people, two computers, two printers. Help?!

Dear FN_User065,

Thank you for posting on our User Forum! Have you tried changing the font settings for printing checks?

On check screen, select “Select Printer”. Select “Font”. Set to Courier New, regular, size 12 and select Ok.

This font will always be used for printing checks on this workstation.

Let me know if this fixes your situation.

It was the first thing we looked into and tried after experiencing the problem.

Ok, it looks like we're going to have to dig a bit deeper into this situation. I'll have to ask a few questions to get a better understanding of your situation.

What version of windows are both computers using?

What brand and model of printers are you using on each computer?

Has any program or other software been installed on either computer recently?

Is the method of when the checks print a small font repeatable? Such as printing correctly exactly on every 3rd try? Does this solution apply to both printers?

Are you attempting to print a single check? or multiple checks simultaneously?

Does rebooting change the printing issue?

Please respond as soon as you are able.

Regards,
