How can you have a page break between accounts when printing all accounts in the report "Transactions by Account" in FN 7.5? Older versions used to do this, but FN 7.5 runs all accounts together, at least so far as I've been able to print it. I'd like to print each account separately, so as to have a perpetual paper ledger by FN account in a three ring binder. Thanks for your help.

Earlier version did start a new page for each account in the Transactions for All Accounts report. In FN 7.5 with then new report formating and repagination capabilities for all reports, this new page for each account is not currently available. Not having the new page for each account saves a lot of paper. However, some users do want this capability. We are working to find a good solution.

One work around for a few accounts is to run a set of automatic reports with the Transactions by Account report for each specific account.

Same thing applys to the Transaction for All Payees report.

Please provide more information on the work around mentioned in the second paragraph. Is it in your FN7.5 User's manual anywhere? Thanks.

Yes, Automatic Reports are covered in an entire chapter of the Financial Navigator version 7.0 Reference Guide. Please refer to Chapter 23, Automatic Reports.

Using Automatic Reports would be a fairly cumbersome solution to this problem, however. It would be best used if your Chart of Accounts makes good use of Account Qualifiers.

For example, if every single account in your Chart of Accounts can be described by one of (say for example) four Account Qualifiers, you could create an Automatic Reports group called Transactions by Account. In this group you could add four Transactions by Account reports, each with a different qualifier. This way a listing of only four reports would actually print many reports.

For further discussion of Account Qualifiers as they pertain to Automatic Reports, please refer to Financial Navigator version 7.0 Reference Guide, page 426.
