My sister and I are business partners, live in different parts of the country
and use different accountants. Both my sister and I use Mac's. I use Quicken
and Quick Books and my sister uses MYOB for her personal software.

My sister's accountant who serves 1/2 of our businesses uses Financial Navigator, and has almost 10 years worth of accounting data.

While she loves her program, neither my sister or I can read the data on our
computers.

I've considered buying FN and a PC to view these old records electronically
rather than as hard copy. However, that seems like over kill. Do you have any
alternative suggestions on how I can view this data?

I use an imac, os 9.0.4, 128 m RAM.

As you know, Financial Navigator is a Windows program and is not avaiable for Mac.

However, your accountant can prepare FN reports as HTML files. These files can be read by any machine (Windows or Mac) equipped with a browser, such as Netscape.

To do this in Financial Navigator, do the following:

  1. Go to Report Selection.
  2. Select the report you want.
  3. Select Screen to see the report on the screen.
  4. Select File | Save as HTML
  5. In the File Name box, type the name you wish the file to be saved under.
  6. Select Save.
