My HP Deskjet 940cvr printer will do all the things it should do, perfectly, under Windows XP: IE, Outlook Express, Notepad & WordPad, and all Office XP programs. My printer has the latest HP driver.

Under FN, I cannot completely, successfully do the following print tasks:

Print more than one page at a time on legal sized paper (I get a Windows error),

Use the Two Sided Print feature, on any size paper. The problems vary, but I usually get a Windows error.

The problems I get into are complicated and so I will not describe them any more fully now. I have added a separate printer, just for FN, but this has not helped.

For now, I do most of my printing from FN by using *.csv files, exported into Excel, which does it all very nicely, but is an extra step.

I hope someone out there using FN has seen this problem. HP has researched it and since they do not have FN, they cannot reproduce the problem.

If your printer settings revert back to their defaults and don’t seem to “stick” in FN, try changing your printer settings through Control Panel | Printers & Faxes in XP. You will generally need to login as an administrator to change your printer settings through XP’s control panel.

Changing your printer settings in this way will force all of your applications to print with those settings—including Financial Navigator.
