Please state why the journal entry numbers do not appear on Transactions by Account report. We have multiple JE's recorded, but the JE numbers only print sporadically.Thanks.

Hello,The report Transactions by Account will display the journal entry number, you must set in the report options. From the Report Selection screen, select the Options button, and check Transactions Detail. If you still don’t have the journal entries appearing on the reports you probably have the column hidden. To unhide the column, from the report screen, highlight the whole report by left clicking on the upper left grey cell, then right click, select Column, and unhide. If this does not work, please respond to this email. Thanks, Matthew

Everything is checked as you suggested. What we've noticed is that some of the JE numbers print, but not all of them. We also see either DR or CR. Not having all of the JE numbers printed makes it difficult to track down details of the transactions.Thanks.

Hello,The JE numbers that you are referring to are assigned by the user. If the user does not assign the transaction a JE number the program by default will mark it a debit or credit. Once again the program does not assign JE numbers to the transactions. If you need JE numbers on the transactions, the user can change and review prior transactions and assign JE numbers to them. The settings are as you suggest, and the column isn't hidden. Our problem is that some JE numbers appear, but not all of them. We also see DR or CR, but not the JE number. It makes tracking down details pretty cumbersome.Thank you.

All of our journal entries are numbered, we aren't expecting FN to number for us. Upon further review, we've noticed that when printing Transactions by Account report, the only time the JE number appears is on DEBIT transactions. CREDIT transactions show CR, rather than the JE number. The software group may want to check this out as well.thanks.

Hello,The new transactions by account report in version 8.2.2 will display the JE numbers for both Debits and Credits. Thanks for your contribution, Matthew
