I have a very long balance sheet. Some of the categories are more relevant than others. For some categories, I'd like to show all of the detail (i.e., all the accounts listed separately). However, for some of the categories, I'd like to just show the subtotal. Can I do this in Financial Navigator?

YES!Here's how to do it:
- Go to Report Selection.
- Select the report you want. NOTE: You must select a report that has account detail for this to work. For example, the Summary Balance Sheet would not work but the Balance Sheet Analysis would.
- BEFORE you print the report, select Options.
- Make sure that the following boxes are checked:
- Category Subtotals
- Accounts
- Note: Other boxes, such as Group Names, Group Totals, and Category Names can also be selected. This is optional.
- Select OK to close the Options dialog box.
- Back at the report selection screen, select Screen to view the report on screen.
- At the report preview screen, select Data | Show Expanded View.
- Note that a new column appears to the left. The column contains small plus and minus symbols. Click on a minus symbol for less detail. Click on a plus symbol to see more detail.
This technique works in the all of the report groups except:
- Chart of Accounts
- Payee or Payor Names
