When posting a dividend reinvestment entry for a periodic transaction, the asset purchase portion of the entry does not automatically enter the asset number. This must be done manually. The automatic entry for this dividend reinvestment account shows the correct asset account.

For the dividend reinvestment or any purchase of an investment, the automatic entry must contain the asset account on the first line. Do not use a Multiple Distribution in the automatic entry. The investment account must be entered on the first line to get the acquired investment prompt.
