I download prices on 6/30 and update securities from entity A. Then I download prices on 7/31 and update entity A again.

Can I at this point of time update securities for entity B with the prices downloaded on 6/30 ?

Each time you pull prices to update your securities, the current prices override your prior prices. Unless you saved your 6/30 prices in a new file, you cannot retrieve them.

In the future, you can save your current price file to new file name. Then pull new prices. That way, you can retrieve the old prices from the new file whenever you want them.

Do I need to save the file in a specific location in order to retrieve old prices?
How does the updating work? Just enter the "old" date? Thank you.

Your security prices are stored in a file called APR2.PRN. This file is located in your FN program folder. You can open this file with Notepad to see the prices for your securities.

This file contains prices for the last date you retrieved security prices, not multiple days or months. Therefore, you will have to save your APR2.PRN file in order to re-use it later on. This is best accomplished by re-naming your APR2.PRN file to ensure that it does not get replaced/overwritten when you do your next price download.

You can rename your APR2.PRN file to something else (like APR2.JUN for example) to save the prices that it contains. When you want to use this price file again you can rename APR2.JUN back to APR2.PRN. However, you will have to rename any other existing APR2.PRN file beforehand.
