When data is originally entered on the transaction screen, should the market price automatically populate or does it have be entered manually? For options accounting, the market price should remain the same as the cost basis. We have found that sometimes the cost basis reflected on the right side of the A/L page is transferred to the market price field automatically, while other times the market value does not appear at all. So basically, should it be an automatic default or do we enter it for each transaction?

Yes, the price per share is updated in the A/L info, if the option [x] Update price/share on the Multiple distribution screen is checked.

This is a new option in FN 8.2 (not in 8.1). Before in 8.1, it was always updated. But with some investments for some users the option was needed to NOT update the price per share.
