Some cautions about updating prices: You should finish entering transactions in the prior months before you update prices for a month. For instance, it sounds like you need to update 10/31/07 prices. Enter all September 2007 and earlier transactions before updating October prices. See Balance differs in later month - http://www.finnav.com/ubb/Forum15/HTML/000023.html.Ideally you would then finish entering October transactions before entering any November transactions. That can be hard to do in reality. So be aware that when you update October prices, the balances may be wrong if you bought or sold shares in November or later for an account that existed in October. This is because the number of shares on the Asset & Liability screen will be the November number of shares.
