1) Yes, if the FN program is installed on each workstation then the software update will need to be run on each workstation. In other situations, if the FN Program is installed on a central file server then the software update will need to be run only once from any workstation.
Note: to find where the FN program is installed, select Help | About FN. On the line
FNwin.exe C:\FN\fnwin75.exe
will show the path where FN is installed such as C:\FN.
2) In order to run software update from a workstation without internet access, do the following:
a) Run software update from a computer with internet access. This will download a file 'fnwin75x.exe' into the FN program folder such as C:\FN.
Note, the 75 is for the version 7.5, so other versions will be corresponding to their version number.
Note, if the update was run in 'test' mode then the file name will be 'fnwin75xt.exe'.
If no computer with FN has internet access, then use a computer with internet access and to download the file. Use the browser and specify the following address:
ftp://www.finnav.com/ftp/fnwin75x.exe
b) Copy this file 'fnwin75x.exe' to the other workstation. Put it in any folder such as the FN program folder.
c) Run the 'fnwin75x.exe' program to install the newer version. It remembers where the FN program was last installed and defaults to install the new version in the same place.
