I am currently running Financial navigator 8.0. When I open FN today for
the first time this year, I got a message than an upgrade was available to
something like 8.02 or 8.02.02. I clicked "yes" and then got an error
message that some file was missing. Sorry I did not write it down. I
reinstalled from my CD thinking that would fix it. Now it seems I don't get
another chance to upgrade... no upgrade message. Also I could not find a
way to download the upgrade from your web site.

The message was just a software update notice that will appear every 90 days to remind you to check for a newer version of FN.
Note: This reminder can be turned off from the notice or from the Options | Software Update Reminder.

To run Software Update at any time, select Help | Software Update.

My quess the errors is related to some files needed for software update. This files should have been installed when during a complete install or a workstation install. By reinstalling FN from this workstation then this files should be installed. They can be verified from the installation log file (fnwin80.log) in the FN program folder.

Also the FN 8.0 software update can be obtained directly from the web site at
ftp://www.finnav.com/ftp/fnwin80x.exe
