I tried to download the recent upgrade for 8.0 but the program says fnwin80.exe is not in the targeted directory (but it is). My program directory is C:/FN 8.0 (Clue - when it tells me fnwin80.exe isn't there it refers to C:/FN 8.0/FN, (which does not exist).

The software update verifies that the program is already installed in that folder. Installing an update in a folder where the program is not already installed with not work.

Verify the folder where the update is being installed. In this case it is trying to install it into "C:\FN 8.0\FN". If the program directory is "C:\FN 8.0" then change the location during the install to that folder. On the Select Destination Folder screen, select the "Browse" button. Now select the folder where FN is currently installed. If for some reason the full path name is not correct then just edit the path name. Select Ok. Now verify the path name is correct. If so then select Next to continue the install process.

Once the installation is done it will remember where it was installed for the next time.
