I must be missing something in your instructions for moving data files from one computer to another that uses Windows XP. I installed FN Ver. 8.0.6 on the new computer. There was no prompt to set up my single entity and this has not been done. Must this be done before trying to enter data files? If so, how do I do it?

On the old computer, I backed up data files to a floppy disk. When I try to open the data files in Fn on the new computer, there is a message "Put data disk in the drive using file FNW80EN.ENT".

Should I try to set up an entity file in FN with a C:\FN\dataxx address and then copy the data files from A: to that entity file on Windows Explorer?

Veify that the file fnwin80en.ent is in the FN program folder.
If not then do a complete install or a custom install and select to install the entity file.

When FN is starts it looks for a set of data files to use. If the data files are not already on the C: drive then they can be opened from the A: floppy drive. Make sure the floppy disk is not write protected.

Or using Windows explorer copy the data files from the A: drive to a folder on the C: drive. Make sure each set of data files is in a separate folder.
Then start FN and open the folder on the C: drive.
The first time the entity is accessed FN will prompt to add it to the entity list.
