We just upgraded our server to Windows 2003. Now, on the Windows 98 workstations, FN starts up OK, but we can't open any data. We can't get past the Open screen.

Windows 98 has a bug and can't write to files on Windows 2003 server that it doesn't "own." FN writes to a data file when you open FN data. If another user created the FN data, you can't open it.

The solution is to downgrade your server OS, or upgrade your workstation OS.

You will notice this problem with all your data, not just FN data.
