1. Make sure that under options the choice "open recently used file" is check marked. If not, click on it so that becomes the default.

2. If you have any data files in the FN program folder, they need to be moved or deleted.

Or: if you want FN to start in a specific entity each time: right click on the short cut icon, choose properties, and in the "Target" box add the path to the Entity (name of the entity you wish to start) after the program name.
