How do I run a software update while I am using Financial Navigator?

To update your software to the latest version of FN:

1. Select Help | Software Update from the main menu bar in any entity (top of screen far right choice).

2. Select Yes command button to continue with software update.

3. Select Yes command button to continue once you have determined you do not have most current version.

  • if you are not using the most current version the system will tell you.
  • if you are already using the most current version Select Cancel command button

4. The system then downloads the files.

5. Select Yes command button after download is complete.

6. Proceed with the installation of the software update.

Occasionally the newest update is still being tested by the software development team. It is available to you in test mode.

To run a software update in "test mode":

  1. Select Help | About Financial Navigator.
  2. Type in the letter "t" or click on the FN icon in the top left corner of the About screen.
  3. Select OK to set to test mode.
  4. Select Software Update command button.
  5. Select Yes to prompt "Do you want to continue with Software Update?"
  6. Select Yes to prompt "Since you are running in Test Mode you will be downloading the lastest Test version of Financial Navigator. Do you still want to continue?"
  7. Continue the software update and install the lastest test version.
