It is very annoying that FN automatically capitalizes the first letter and then forces all letters that follow to be lowercase. This is especially an issue in the Payee area where you are trying to address checks to a company's proper legal name. I have never encountered another accounting program with this "feature" and I can think of no reason to have this. Everyone has a Caps Lock key on their keyboard to capitilize as they see fit. In todays business world many companys have names which do not fit into the first letter capitalize situation. I find that this is a problem effecting about half of my payees many of which have names like: Jones & Foster VC Grp VIII LP comes out like Jones & Foster Vc Grp Viii Lp which looks terrible.------------------ ahgatto

There was no reply by anyone at FN so I am wondering if this is being considered. I can't be the only one with this problem.------------------ ahgatto

Yes, this suggestion is being consisted along with many others. It is just at case of priority with other improvements. Since this can be done using the Name and address for printing checks, then the need is not as important as other features not currently available. Also adding the upper/Lower case option may allow the situation to create duplicate payees. Thanks for your suggestion. We always appreciate your input to improving the product. In the past we have always reviewed each suggestion but have not posted a reply to them. Based on your feed back we now plan to reply to each one to let you know we have heard your suggestion. Thanks. [This message has been edited by John (edited 11-28-2001).]

This issue has been addressed in Financial Navigator 8.1. In FN 8.1, the new Any-Case Feature allows you to use upper or lower case for payees/payors, account names, and for group or category names.-------------------------------------------- George Financial Navigator Int'l
