Is there any way that a user can print a "list" of accounts? I know that a group of accounts can be printed - "Income Accounts", but I would like to print a list of account numbers. For example: 12,24,36,100,234I have used this on other software programs and it was very beneficial and doesn't waste as much paper.

Let me understand the need. You want to just print a list of accounts with their account name, number, maybe class, etc.Current possible solutions: 1) Chart of account reports using account qualifier. 2) Print the list from the 'Select Account' popup list. Select this list by qualifier or show only one class such as income or the combination of the two. Such as qualifier '/Rental' and Menu | Show only | Income. To print the list, select Menu | Print List. Let me know if these solutions solve your need. Most account selection is done by qualifier and not by multiple account numbers so you may need to rename some accounts for determine the appropriate qualifier.

I would like to print "Transactions by Account" for a list of accounts such as -trans by account for account number 2, account number 12, account number 200, etc. all in the same print job of the report- with out printing each account with transaction detail individually. This list of accounts could include income, asset, liability, and expense accounts in one print job. Am I making any sense?

You want the transactions for a list of account not just a list of the account names.Solutions: 1) Use automatic reports. Set up a set of transaction by account reports. One report for each of the accounts wanted. Note each set of automatic reports is limited to 12 reports. So you could only have 12 accounts in a set. But you can have 12 sets of automatic reports. This is a little work to set put works well if this is the same accounts over and over. 2) Use Transactions by Account Report for all Accounts and specify a qualifier. An account qualifier is the best way to group accounts. This is quick to set the Account qualifer. Select Account List and verify the accounts wanted. Let me know if this does not solve your need.

This is a delayed response to your final suggestion. However, it doesn't solve my "problem". The accounts that I have wanted to print are not common "lists" that I can set up in an automatic report. When the need arises, I would like to print several account numbers in one report depending on my need at the time. For instance, if I am working with depreciation schedules, I would like to print the asset account, depreciation expense account and then accumulated deprec. acct. But the next time I need a group of account numbers printed (with activity for a specified time period) it could be a very different set of accounts. I can pose this question again at the user conference if I am not making any sense. It may make more sense "in person". Thanks for your help!

So you want to print a list of specific account numbers. Here are a few suggestions: 1) if the account names have something in common such as account qualifier then print a list of account using that qualifier. For example use qualifier "ACCUM DEP*/*" on the sample data to get all accounts beginning with ACCUM DEP 2) Use Automatic entries for list of totally different accounts. Set up a payee with the automatic entries for the accounts you want to list. Print the Payee report with automatic entries. Use set no to list only the payees that you want. Also you can highlight the rows in the report that you want to print and select Print and set to "Selection" instead of All or Page. This will print just the part selected. 3) Run the COA report for Accounts in Alphabetical Order to the screen. This will list all the accounts. Now hide the rows for the accounts that you do not want. To hide the rows, just select the row(s) and select Format | Row | Hide. Now print the report and the hidden rows will not be printed. There are probably other solutions. It really depends on how many times you want to reprint the list and how the names are related. Hope this helps. Look forward to seeing you at the Annual User Conference.

You can now select the account(s) you want to include in a report. To print data for only selected accounts:: - On the Report Selection screen, select Use Chart of Accounts Selection
- Select Chart of Accounts Selection. The chart of Accounts Selection screen appears.
- Select the Groups, Categories, and/or Accounts that you want to include on the report.
- Select Close to return to the Report Selection screen.
To print data for all accounts again:: - Uncheck Use Chart of Accounts Selection
