At present the only way to tell what Forat Type FN has assigned to an account is to look at the A&L record, o ne account at a time.

It wouldbe convenient if you could add Format Type as an optional display field, like Category or Class in the CofA display.

It is important to get the Format Type right as BrokerLink appears to differentiate between IRA/Keogh/Retire Plans(23) and Ira/Keogh securiteis(24) when posting transactions/

Thank you for your suggestion. That is a good idea. The Product Development Group will add this to the list of enhancements for future FN versions.

Navigator 8.2 and later can display Format Type (and a lot more) in the Chart of Accounts screen. Select Options | Show Columns By | Format Type.

You can change the Format Type on this screen also.

Even better, you can change the default Format Type for each Category. See why does the format type keep changing?
