I keep getting an error under test and correct & then it kicks me out of FN. This is for the name & address info.

The error is Subscript out of range (error #9) In line 56400 Using File C:\fn\BBAT01\IAD2.DAT

Please let me know how to fix this. Thanks

The iad2.dat file is the index for the name and address file.

Subscript out of range error means that some of your data may be bad.

If you are getting the error during the test and correct utility, then you need to verify the name and address information you have on file and make any necessary corrections.

Make sure you have the most recent software update. Software Update from FN

Print out a copy of the Name and Address Info report for payees and payors:

  1. Select Reports from the main FN menu.
  2. Select Payee or Payor Names report group.
  3. Select Payee and Payor Name and Address Info from the report list.
  4. Print out a copy and notate any records that require correction.

Edit/correct Name and Address info:

  1. Select Transactions from the main FN menu.
  2. Select Change or Delete Payee/Payor Name.
  3. Select the payee/payor name to be edited from the drop down menu.
  4. Select OK
  5. Select Address Info command button.
  6. Edit/correct data.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Repeat these steps for all payees/payors with corrupt name and address information.

Run the test and correct utility again.

You may need to change your file sizes as well. Run Utilities | System Reconfiguration | Change File Sizes. Make sure the "allocated number" for each file type is at least 100 more than the "highest used" number. As the alloted number is reached, the system will advise you to increase your file sizes as necessary.

If your problem is not resolved, please reply to this post with the software version you are running, the Windows application you are using, the exact steps you took, and the error message received.
