I am getting an error telling me to rebuild my payee index and then the account index.

How do I do this?

To rebuild the Payee or Account Index:

Before you begin this procuedure you should make a backup copy of the data files.

  1. Switch to test mode by selecting Help | About Financial Navigator.
  2. Press the letter "t" and select OK to the prompt "Set to Test Mode".
  3. Select OK on the About dialog box to return to the FN desktop.
  4. Select Utilities | Test & Correct Files | Rebuild Account Index or Utilities | Test & Correct Files | Rebuild Payee Index.
  5. Select Yes on the "Rebuild Payee/Account Index" message box.
  6. Select OK on the completion message box.

FN will tell you how many payees or accounts it has updated.

When you exit FN, you will be taken out of test mode.
