I went in to enter June deposits on Monday and FN froze up and a message appeared that shows VSFLEX7L.ocx not correctly registered. File is missing or invalid. What would have caused it to disappear or become invalid. I need to have my June entries in so I can balance out through 2nd quarter.

Hello, thank you for posting this question.

"VSFLEX7L.OCX not correctly registered or is missing or invalid" means the file is either not on your computer, has been changed somehow, or is not registered properly. Perhaps an installation of another program replaced the file or the file has become corrupt. It is hard to tell exactly how this could have occurred.

In any case, try re-installing Financial Navigator from your CD. It should copy the needed file back onto your computer. If re-installing Financial Navigator doesn’t immediately fix the problem, try locating the file "VSFLEX7L.OCX" on your computer and rename it to "VSFLEX7L.BAK". Then re-install Financial Navigator once more.

Please post a reply to this forum topic and let me know if this solved your problem.

I was originally trying to update the software from an e-mail. I had to have our ADP give me the release so I could finish the update. Once I was able to get the update successfully done, my problem was gone. So when I tried to do the update and was not able to finish it because of not having the access here locally, it caused this problem with FN. It is now corrected and I am entering my June information. Thanks!
