Financial Navigator was working fine. However, now when I try to enter in a payee or payor on the transaction activity screen, the program gives me an error message:

Runtime error '31002' Unable to subclass specified window.

I've tried reinstalling the program, but it still won't work. What gives? Please help.

Thank you for posting your message.

This error usually occurs when a "Anti-Spyware" program inadvertently disables a part of Financial Navigator. Financial Navigator does not contain spyware, but some of its functions can be misinterpreted as having spy-like behavior, and thus the anti-spyware program disables them.

Most programs allow you to manually specific which applications to allow. Check the settings of your software and see if anything within the Financial Navigator folders were disabled. If they were, reenable them, or allow them to run, and then try to run Financial Navigator again.

On recent software is SpyDoctor, which blocks the main FN application. To reenable FN:

1. Open the SpyDoctor control panel.

2. Click on the OnGuard Panel.

3. Click on the Keylogger Guard Section.

4. Click the Results Tab near the top of the window.

5. You will see the main FN executable listed. This should be "fn82win.exe" or something similar, depending on your version. Click on it, and then click on Add Application

6. Alternately, while on the "Summary" tab, you can select Add Application and then browse to the FN directory and all the application manually.

Each application is slightly different, so if you need help with a specific spyware program, please let us know what you're using and we'll see if we can get more specific instructions.
