When I choose Income Statement report it comes up with the current month- actual- YTD - actual and YTD - Budget with category subtotals and group totals, which I want. I also wondered if I could get another column showing Current month - Budget. Trying various things I got the Current Month - Actual; Current Month - Budget; YTD - Actuals; and YTD - Budget columns to show by choosing "Show Totals" from the Data menu choice. Great! But then I noticed that all my subtotals and totals were gone!! So then I chose Data/Totals, but that only gives me the very final total at the bottom.

Is there anyway to get the 4 columns I want with the category and group subtotals showing?!

Yes, you can display subtotals for the 4 columns you would like on the Income Statement. Here’s how:

1. Bring up the Report Selection screen.
2. Select the Income & Cash Flow report group.
3. Select the Options button to display the Income & Cash Flow Options screen.
4. Under Print Column, select Budgets. This will include the Current Month – Budget and YTD – Budget columns on your income statement.
5. Under Print, select the Category Subtotals checkbox. Verify that Group Totals is also checked.
6. Select OK to close the Income & Cash Flow Options screen.
7. Select the Income Statement report and press Screen to run the report.

Nope, the column for the Budget Month does not appear, just the three that I've mentioned.

Perhaps the 'Budget Month' column is hidden. Try resetting your columns to make a hidden column visible again. To reset your columns:

1. Run the report with the same settings detailed in my previous post.

2. Select Format | Reset | Column Widths.
