There are two methods of changing the name displayed on your reports.Method 1:
If you would like all of your reports to display a new company name then you can change your entity’s name to do so.
Note: This proceedure will change your entity name. Opening another set of data files with the previous entity name will add that previous entity name to your entity list and use up one of your alotted entities. If you are already using your maximum number of entities, you will not be able to open a set of data files with the previous entity name. Please see the topic: “Renaming Entities and Data Files” in your Financial Navigator help file for more information. From the FN main screen click Help | Search for Help On to quickly find this topic.
To change your entity name:
1. Select File | Change Entity Name
The “Select Type of Finances” screen appears. The type you originally selected is set as default. Select Ok to continue.
2. The Individual, Trust, or Estate screen appears. The names you originally entered are set as default. Select Ok to continue.
3. The ‘Change Entity Name” screen appears with the “Entity Name at the Top of Reports” field. Change the name to reflect the name you would like to display at the top of all of your reports.
4. Select Ok to finish. The system confirms your change.
All of your reports will now display this new entity name.
Method 2:
You can manually edit the company name in your report’s Header. To edit your report’s header you need to view it first on your report screen. To view report Headers:
1. Select the report you would like to run and click Screen to view the report.
2. Select File | View | Header.
The report’s header now appears on your report screen.
3. Edit the Header to reflect the information you would like displayed.
Note: Any changes to the Header will not be remembered when you run the report again.
