The market value of one account is the same as the cost basis on the balance sheet report. But it should be different for this account. Other accounts & other reports OK. I update prices by making transaction entries instead of Enter Prices to Update Securities.

Since you don't really update prices, but instead change the balance in the account to reflect the current price, clear the date from the Valuation Date field in the Asset & Liability screen. That will force the report to get the market value from the account's balance.
