On May 1 during the tax year I receive a stock distribution: cost basis $1, FMV on 5/1 $100. On 12/31 I update the portfolio's FMV. Is there a way to show or print how the stock performed since the distribution date?

What do you mean by performance? What do you want to see?

Your Securities Portfolio Analysis report will give you the overall gain/loss from distribution date through FMV of December 31 if you entered the distribution as a buy transaction.

Thank you. I had not realized that by updating the FMV on the date of the distribution I would get the 'starting point' for tracking how the stock is doing during the months ahead (what I meant by performance).
