Here are some of the ways you can get asset allocation information in FN:1. From the Investments report group, run the Securities Portfolio Analysis report and look at the summary by type. It shows % for each format type, stocks, bonds, etc. One option is to turn off the detail accounts & category names & subtotals.
2. From the Investments report group, run the Marketable Security Analysis by Format Type report and look at the totals.
3. Using Navigator Impressions, select the Investments group, Amounts by: Format type, and run the Marketable Security Allocation report.
With the chart on the screen, select View | Percents to see the percentages for each slice. If a month range is selected then the graph is a stacked bar chart. If two pie charts are wanted instead, then select Format | Chart Wizard. Select Pie Chart and select Finish.
4. Use the Export to Morningstar feature introduced in FN 8.1 to get the analysis via Morningstar.com.
