A new year has been created, but uncleared transactions did not transfer over. Is there any way to go back and bring these uncleared checks into the New Year without having to add general entries in the new year to be able to reconcile?

Hello,

Currently there is no way to roll transasctions forward if the transactions are entered in the old year after you've created the new year. We hope to address this issue in the future version of Navigator.

No transactions were posted in 05 after creating a new year. The uncleared transactions are not showing up when I go to reconcile January.

Financial Navigator stores its data files by year. You will not see 2005 transactions in your 2006 files or visa-versa.

The only way to carry over uncleared transactions to a new year is to select the Save Uncleared Transactions option when starting a new year. This will carry over all uncleared transactions from 2005 to 2006 and allow them to be reconciled in the 2006 files.

If this option was not selected, then there is no way to automatically bring transactions over after you've created the new year. You will have to enter the transactions in manually.

Another option is to restart the new year - but this will require reentering all of the 2006 transactions.
