When setting up Advanced Reports 2 for Investments, Holdings for Selected Securities, I'm presented with a drop down menu in Accounts which only list accounts. As I'm controlling an Entity Family with about 70 files, I'm trying to use a symbol to search for those files containing a specific security. Can someone advise me as to how to go about it?

In Advanced Reports, once the Holdings for Selected Securities report is selected, then it prompts for the symbol. At the Enter Symbol screen, just enter the name of the symbol. Select Ok and the report will run. On the drop down list, I did notice it was empty on the test I just did. In FN 8.0, the drop down list did show all the symbols from the symbol file. Let me look into this situation for Advanced Reports. Meanwhile, you can still just type in the symbol wanted. The list is just an aid to show the symbols from the symbol file.

After researching the problem, I believe the problem is it did not find the symbol file.Verify the shortcut properties to see that the Start In folder is the same as the Target folder. This should be where the symbol file (sym2.prn) exist. Right click on the icon on the desktop. Select Properties. Select the Shortcut tab. Change the Start In to be the same as the Target folder such "C:\FN" if the Target is "C:\FN\FNreport.exe"
