When installing or removing the VersaPort your printer must be turned off.If you are using the parallel port to communicate with your printer:
- Turn your printer OFF.
- Plug the VersaPort into the parallel port on your printer.
- Connect the cable from your computer directly to the VersaPort.
If you are not using the parallel port to communicate with your printer:
- Turn your printer OFF.
- Plug the VersaPort into the parallel port on your printer. The VersaPort will function properly with any method of connnection to the network or host computer.
Reset/Reload Button Functions:
- Five presses of the button will print the Version and Configuration Settings.
- Four presses of the button will print the Test and Instruction Information.
- One press of the button will reset the VersaPort.
When your printer is powering up, the VersaPort will configure your printer with the options programmed into your VersaPort.
