When we run checks, everything seems to work but at the end of the LSR DOS window, it says 0 checks printed. we are running Windows XP SP2, FN8.1, and CFN 3.2. This is a reinstall due to the user getting a new PC. she was previously running Win2k.

Thanks for the question. I assume that the real problem is that no checks are printing. Here are three things you can check. Instructions for each are on the CheckForm Navigator Forum. Try the first one, then try printing a check. If checks still don’t print, try the next one. Let us know if any of these solve the problem.
  1. Check Start In path. See CheckForm Navigator not printing.
  2. Check Net Use settings. See Windows XP and Network Printer.
  3. View DOS window. It sounds like you might already be doing that. See check printing problem. There is a suggestion in that topic to use 8 or less characters. You might try that also, if you have long folder names.
  4. Verify that you can print from DOS. See step II Verify Captured Printer Port in Windows XP and Network Printer
  5. Copy the text in the DOS window that appears when you try to print and paste the text into your reply on this topic.

Also make sure the correct form is being Used and the check# location (row & column) has not been changed. Look at the first reply in check printing problem.

Congratulations, John. Checking everything carefully paid off. CFN only works with Check Form 1 (Check on top & stub on bottom, CFN format).
