I use Windows 2000. I just changed my printer and can print checks. However, I do not get either our address, bank address or acct no, or bank legends. When I tell FN to use new printer, I seem to loose the CFN legend that provides that info.

My FN version 8.21.

To help you with this issue, I need to ask you a few more questions regarding your setup.

Has this particular entity always been able to print checks? Can any other entities print checks correctly, or does this appear to be a FN-wide problem?

When you go to print checks and are in the Print Setup Screen, go to Select Printer. Make sure CFN is selected as your printer and then click on CFN Settings. Is your bank and personal information still available?

Please report back with your settings.

1. I have the same problem in the other big entity I have, so the problem is system wide.
2. Prior to having to change the printer, I had no problems printing checks and have done so for years.
3. When I change the setting to CFN, I still have the appropriate bank setup showing for the account I want to use.
4. Now I do not get a check to print, I get the following: "when printing, no document name to LPT1, device not ready". I did check the LPT port showing for the printer and it is hooked into USB001. virtual printer port for USB.
5. This is the first time I have tried to use my HP 1012, prior printer was an HP 5p which has failed.
