We use a firewall on our network and are unable to get NA updates through the normal method from our FN program.

How do we download prices via NA behind a firewall?

You have to bypass your current internet connection with the firewall by using a modem to download your prices.

To set the FN system to request the download from your modem:

Select Investments | Navigator Access
Type in date
Select View | IDC Settings
Change "Connection Type" to "modem"
Type in access phone numbers
(obtain by calling FT Interactive Data 800-432-5463)
Select modem type
Select line speed based on your modem type
Select OK

This will direct FN to go to FT Interactive Data site for prices directly via your modem.

To allow Navigator Access to get thru the firewall, the firewall needs to be configured to allow "idcrp.intdata.com:60001"
