On 12/28/01 I updated my symbol file and copied it to an excel spreadsheet. There were about 320 symbols in the sym2.prn file. Today I added 7 symbols through Security Symbols and Other Info Changes . When I tried to edit the symbol file to delete 3 symbols I found only my new 7 symbols. They are on a notepad. All the others are gone. What can I do?

You will need to rebuild the symbol file. See the post How to clean up symbol file quickly.
