I recently changed browsers from Netscape to Internet Explorer. StockWeb is still trying to access Netscape. How do I change this?

In order to change the default browser for StockWeb from Netscape to Internet Explorer:

  1. Uninstall Netscape
  2. Start Internet Explorer
  3. Select Tools | Internet Options (IE 5.0) or View | Options (IE 3.0 and 4.0)
  4. Select the Programs tab
  5. At the bootom of the screen, check the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser box. Select OK
  6. Exit Internet Explorer
  7. Open Internet Explorer again - Select Yes to set as your default browser
  8. Connect to the StockWeb Site through FN and it should open in Internet Explorer when you transmit your security symbols to the StockWeb Site.

These instructions and other troubleshooting steps are found in the Navigator StockWeb Reference Booklet and on the online Help program under "Internet Explorer/Setting as your StockWeb browser".
