FN_User Member	posted 05-07-2008 03:21 PM Today I get “symbol not available” when I download prices for some stock symbols. Other symbols work fine. The ones that aren’t working today are AIG,BA,BP,COMS,NCR,PCX,SWHC. IP: Logged
David Administrator	posted 05-07-2008 03:22 PM StockWeb uses Yahoo Finance to get the prices. Sometimes Yahoo Finance has problems and that appears to be the case today. We have reported the problem to Yahoo. Keep trying, they should fix it soon. You can verify your symbols are correct by selected Research in StockWeb, then selecting the symbol on the left and any link like Overview or Historical. If the symbol is valid, you can see if the problem is at Yahoo Finance. Go to http://download.finance.yahoo.com and type a list of symbols including some good ones and the problem ones in the Enter Symbols box like ATT,AIG. Select Go. If the problem symbols say “No such ticker symbol” notify Yahoo at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/finance/general.html. - David FNI Technical Support Case #38-10701 [This message has been edited by David (edited 05-07-2008).] IP: Logged
