Informed by message that "Error #70" has occurred: - a second party attempting to use my one party system(??)Problem: Account assigned to my granddaughter's savings account now contains all deposits and checks written on my own checking account - have printed out these transactions, it appears that all are duplicated in both accounts, but I am not sure. Discovered the problem in trying to print out Charitable Contributions account to plan income tax; both accounts shown in duplicate, resulting in approximatelly(?) doubling totals of my charitable donations. Granddaughter's savings account does not appear in Chart of Accounts when accessed in usual way; however, it is listed when brought up under Assets & Liabilities and/or through Report Selection. Need corrections urgently: need to schedule CPA meeting for tax planning.

Seems like we have 2 different problems.

1) The Error #70 Permission denied is for when the data files are already in use by one user/application and a second user/application is trying to access them.
Verify that FN is not already running or if it is on a network that anyother user is currently accessing that set of data.

2) Question with savings account. First backup the data files just so you have a current backup copy. Run Test & Correct Files to see what is shows as possible problems and corrects what it can. Look at the transactions for the saving account and verify they are correct.

Regarding the Error #70 issue:

In order to verify if FN is already running, check your task bar at bottom of your monitor's screen. There should only be one FN program indicator.

Occasionally, a user will inadvertently click the FN icon twice, forcing the computer to attempt to load the program twice. On single user programs, this capability is not available and hence you will get the error message.

Close out of FN completely, and restart your computer.

Select Start | Programs | Financial Navigator for Windows | Financial Navigator 8.0 (or whatever version you are using) and that should load the program normally and only once.

If the above step allows the user to access the FN program, then possibly the user previously clicked on the FN icon twice.
