Topic: How do I start setting up C of A over again?

I just opened a new entity and set up a bunch of accounts on the CofA and now I need to start all over again. How do I revert the CofA back to the original set up?

In order to reset the Chart of Accounts (CofA), all you need to do is go to
Utilities|Begin Again With New AccountsPlease keep in mind that this will delete ALL of your previously selected accounts and ALL data you may have entered.

Utilities|Begin Again With New Accounts will delete all the transactions, payees/payors, and accounts. It only keeps the Name (on the top reports), password (if any), and calendar year.Another possibility is to use Utilities | Start the Year Over. This will delete all the transactions but keep the payees/payors and account. Now in the Chart of Accounts, the accounts can be deleted and new ones added.
During Start the Year Over, there is an option to zero or keep the starting balances. It is really a question of how far back that you want to go. Of course, you can always create a new set of data with File | New.
