For unknown reason, cannot completely open the chart of accounts to add, delete, etc. Get error message: 35602 key is not unique in collection while loading data for chart of account

Key: A_GIFT

I do not know what to do. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FN, turned on/off computer. Many times since I have owned it, 7.5, FN would fail to enter account names when I was writing checks. I could only enter account numbers to get the name I wanted to show up. don't know if this has anything to do with what is going on now, but virtually the software is not usable.

Hello, sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Chart of Accounts.

It sounds like your chart of accounts may have a duplicate account. Please see the topic Error 35062 for details on how to correct this problem. Please reply to this post if the suggestions in that topic did not resolve your issue (please reply with a list of the suggestions that you tried).
