You can move Accounts but not Groups or Categories. The developers are aware of this request but I doubt that that feature will be added anytime soon. Because of the way the Chart of Accounts (COA) works, it would be difficult to implement.

There is some good news, though. Navigator 9.0 has a greatly expanded COA with many more User-Defined Categories. Chances are one is in the right place for your needs.

Meanwhile, there is a work-around. You can move all the accounts from one Category to another and rename the Categories. This effectively moves the Category. Back up your data first. Pay attention to Format Types for the Category and Accounts. Also, if you use Advanced Reports or Navigator ROI, you should make the same changes in all your entities (and all years) so that they will consolidate nicely. Navigator Version 9 is available now for testing. A number of people are using it now for the improved reports in Navigator and Advanced Reports.
