Qualifiers and wild cards work best when each position in the qualifier has a character. Because the fourth position empty in /284, you won't be able to report on only /284 accounts. You might add an "X" or a period to fill the fourth position: /284X or /284.
This might be a good time to review all your qualifiers. Ideally, use these guidelines for qualifiers:
- Same number of characters in each qualifier.
- Use a placeholder like X or 0 if a position is not used for a particular account.
- Define each position in the qualifier
- Define the meaning of the characters used in each position.
- Use the same rules for all accounts and all entities.
- Post the list of rules for easy reference.
Following these guidelines should give you consistent results when you use qualifiers and wild cards to filter your reports.
