Currently we have a main site and a remote site. We have the offsite license extention. We are using a Windows Server 2008 VPN solution with the FinNav 8 data files on a share on the 2008 server.
The main site's Internet connection tests out at:
Main Office
Last Result:
Download Speed: 6751 kbps (843.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 680 kbps (85 KB/sec transfer rate)
Main Office 2nd:
Download Speed: 7443 kbps (930.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 700 kbps (87.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
The Remote office tests out at:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 3673 kbps (459.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 638 kbps (79.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Is the above speed sufficient to have the data for the remote site hosted on the main office server and accessed via the VPN?
Will version 9 perform better than version 8 in this setup? (We haven't switched to v. 9 yet but will do so soon).
Are there specific install methods that will all for best performance in this setup?
Thank you for your help.
